Throughout my educational journey, I have taken multiple courses that have honed my analytical skills and made me a stronger, more persuasive writer. One such course, Small Business Management, tasked me with writing a paper in which I proposed that an existing business, The New York Theater Workshop, implement new artificial intelligence technology into their playwriting to give them a competitive edge over competitors and allow them to embrace AI at their own pace instead of when it permeates everyday life. After researching AI capabilities, I argued that the technology could greatly benefit playwriting and should be seen more as a tool than a threat to jobs and creativity. As part of the assignment, the paper was sent to the business after the course ended, allowing the organization’s administration to use aspects of the essay to guide their future business model and activities.
